From a very young age, I have been connected to the sea; its grandeur and power always fascinated me, leading me to start a sport that would not only become my greatest passion but also define the person I am today.
After more than 35 years of surfing, I’ve learned that the most important thing is respect, both for people and for Mother Nature. Hence, the importance of conveying values such as honesty, humility, empathy, and patience, among others.
As my best friend says, “Water is Life.” That’s why if we spend time away from the sea, we feel somewhat sad because we need to feel the salt on our skin, have that feeling of true happiness right after riding a wave, or those conversations among friends in the water that make every moment in the sea so special.
Having visited several countries, experiencing different cultures, surfing, and meeting people from all over the world, makes me feel capable of conveying the essence of surfing itself, which is enjoying the sea no matter where you come from.
